Emma and Emily

Replacing the distal femur

Emma/Emily´s femurs are anatomically accurate and designed for realistic intraosseous access training. As they are consumable parts, they need to be replaced after multiple drillings.

  1. Gently pull the lower leg skin off the leg.

  2. Remove the four retaining plugs from the femur cup and remove the thigh skin.

  3. Using the provided screwdriver (Torx Screwdriver TX10 x 60mm), unscrew and remove the pin from the femur cup.

  4. Remove the femur cup from its holder.

  5. Replace with the new femur cup.

  6. Slide the new femur cup onto the metal bracket.

  7. Re-attach the thigh skin by pressing the retaining plugs back into their designated holes.

  8. Slide the lower leg skin back over the tibia and femur.
