Before every training
NOTE
Put a few drops of the silicone oil provided in both nostrils and in Emma/Emily‘s mouth before each training session. Intubate Emma/Emily several times before each training session using a tube moistened with the care oil supplied.
Before each training session, drip several drops of the silicone oil supplied into Emma/Emily‘s mouth. Carefully smear the oil over the entire upper airway with the little finger so that you can no longer feel any dry patches.
By doing this, the airway is maintained and retain its elasticity. The silicone oil does not need to be removed from the airway after training.
CAUTION
Only use the silicone oil supplied with this simulator.
Not using the oil for intubation or using a product non-approved by Laerdal may damage the airway.
After every training
The simulator is splash-proof but not waterproof. If Emma/Emily gets wet during training, dry it thoroughly with a dry cloth. Then clean Emma/Emily with a water-based baby wipes and put it back in the sleeping bag provided. To protect the head and hair, put its hat back on.
