Introduction
Emily and Emma are highly realistic newborn patient simulators modeled on full-term newborns.
While Paul focuses on preterm stabilization training, Emily and Emma support full-term newborn care across delivery room, NICU, OR, ambulance, and other critical-care settings. They support realistic, high-stakes simulations.
Emma/Emily is operated via its Graphical User Interface (GUI) that centralizes control of the simulator, patient-monitor views, scenario design, and debriefing. For more information on this, refer to the Graphical User Interface section.
NOTE
While they differ in skin tone and appearance, both Emma and Emily share identical features and functionalities. For the rest of this user guide, the patient simulator will be referred as "Emma/Emily" to avoid confusion.
