Trismus setup
The Laerdal Advanced Airway Solution manikin includes an adjustable jaw mechanism to simulate Trismus (lockjaw) for advanced airway management training. This feature is accessed by removing the top head cover, revealing two control wheels. The left wheel controls jaw movement and resistance.
Remove the top head cover to access the control wheels.
Press the Trismus wheel to activate the mechanism.
Turn the wheel clockwise to close the jaw until the desired jaw position is reached.
To release the neck, pull the wheel outward.
