Neck stiffness configuration
The Laerdal Advanced Airway Solution manikin includes an adjustable neck mechanism to simulate restricted cervical mobility, making head tilt and airway alignment more challenging. This feature is accessed by removing the top head cover, revealing two control wheels. The right wheel controls neck stiffness.
Remove the top head cover to access the control wheels.
Press the Stiff Neck wheel to activate the mechanism.
Turn the wheel clockwise to increase neck stiffness until the desired neck position is reached.
To release the neck, pull the wheel outward.
