SimMan Critical Care

Network connectivity

SimMan CC provides several connectivity options to ensure uninterrupted sessions wherever a simulation is taking place.

Wi-Fi or wired setup

The Patient Simulator has Wi-Fi or wired setup possibilities, depending on simulation requirements.

Option 1: Enterprise network

The standard connectivity option is delivered by the integrated USB Wi-Fi dongle. The dongle connects to a local enterprise IT network for improved speed and signal strength.

Network Requirements for Simulators

NOTE

  • Laerdal recommends that you setup your network on an Enterprise network if possible.

  • Ethernet cables can be used to connect the patient simulator to the wired network.

Option 2: Router

If a local or ad-hoc network is required, use a router (Laerdal or user’s own).

Use a portable, battery-operated router for outside simulation sessions where an enterprise network may not be available.

NOTE

For more information on network setup, connectivity and available routers contact Laerdal Support.
