Attaching amputated lower calf skin

  1. Access the ankle bolts by folding the skin up. Remove the ankle bolts using two Phillips head screw drivers.

  2. Carefully fold down the skin of the foot to expose the two pulse units. Disconnect both units and route the wiring out of the foot. Roll the wires together and store in the bottom of the ankle.

  3. Apply a liberal amount of baby powder inside of the Amputated Lower Calf Skin and lower leg. While matching the contours of the skin to the calf, pull the skin up the simulator’s lower leg until it fits tightly.

  4. Connect the blood tubing to the blood port located on the simulator’s right side.

CAUTION

Remove the calf skin after your completed simulation to avoid water damage from compressor drainage.
